our services
Your first appointment will involve a thorough consultation around your cosmetic concerns and areas you wish to treat. We will take a medical history to ensure you are suitable with no contraindications for treatment then work with you to discuss your treatment options and develop a plan. Often this plan will include several treatments over a period of months. We always say that great skin is an ongoing marathon and not a sprint.
We encourage you to ask lots of questions at your consultation. We will always provide an explanation of why we are treating an area the way we do and explain why you may not be suitable for certain treatments. We only recommend treatments that we feel will give you the best outcomes and will not conduct treatments that do not align with your aesthetic goals.
At Elluminate, we offer world–leading medical aesthetics treatments, some which cannot be shared on our social media or website due to TGA regulations.
For a full understanding of our treatment options and to develop a bespoke treatment plan, we encourage you to book a consultation.
Volume Loss
Volume loss in aesthetics refers to the reduction or depletion of facial volume over time, leading to a loss of fullness, firmness, and definition in key areas of the face. This natural aging process can affect various facial features and contribute to changes in overall facial appearance.
By recognising the impact of volume loss on facial aesthetics and exploring available treatment options, you can take proactive steps to address signs of aging, restore facial harmony, and enhance their overall appearance. Together, we can create a personalised treatment plan to achieve natural-looking results and boost confidence in one's appearance.
-
One of the most noticeable effects of volume loss is the hollowing of the cheeks. As we age, a decrease in collagen and elastin production can cause the cheeks to lose their natural plumpness and contour, resulting in a sunken or gaunt appearance.
-
Volume loss around the eyes can manifest as dark circles, hollowed or sunken under-eye areas, and the formation of tear troughs. These changes can make a person appear fatigued, aged, or perpetually tired, impacting their overall facial expression.
-
Volume loss in the mid-face region can lead to the deepening of nasolabial folds, the creases that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. These lines can become more pronounced as facial volume diminishes, contributing to an aged or tired appearance.
-
Volume loss in the jawline can result in a loss of definition and sagging along the jaw contour. This can impact the overall balance and symmetry of the face, affecting facial proportions and contributing to a less youthful or sculpted appearance.
Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Lines and wrinkles are common signs of aging that develop on the skin as a result of various factors, including aging, sun exposure, facial expressions, and lifestyle habits. These visible changes in the skin's texture and structure can impact a person's overall appearance and self-confidence.
By understanding the causes of lines and wrinkles and exploring effective treatment options, you can take proactive steps to address these signs of aging, enhance their skin's appearance, and achieve a more youthful and radiant complexion.
-
Dynamic lines are caused by repetitive facial movements, such as smiling or frowning, which create temporary creases in the skin. Over time, these dynamic lines can become more pronounced and develop into static lines, or wrinkles that are visible even at rest.
-
Lines and wrinkles can manifest in different areas of the face, including:
Frown lines (glabellar lines) between the eyebrows
Crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes
Forehead lines and wrinkles
Nasolabial folds around the mouth
Marionette lines extending from the corners of the mouth to the chin
-
In addition to natural aging, factors such as sun damage, smoking, dehydration, and genetics can contribute to the formation of lines and wrinkles. The breakdown of collagen and elastin fibres in the skin leads to a loss of elasticity and firmness, making lines and wrinkles more prominent.
Poor Skin Quality
Poor skin quality refers to a range of concerns and conditions that affect the health, texture, and appearance of the skin. Factors such as aging, sun exposure, lifestyle habits, genetics, and environmental stressors can contribute to a decline in skin quality. Addressing poor skin quality involves understanding the underlying causes and exploring treatment options to rejuvenate and improve the skin.
By recognising the signs and causes of poor skin quality and incorporating targeted treatments and skincare practices into a daily routine, you can work towards improving skin health, enhancing their complexion, and promoting a more youthful and vibrant appearance. During a consultation, we can create a personalised skincare and treatment plan to address specific concerns and achieve optimal results.
-
Symptoms of poor skin quality may include:
Uneven skin tone or hyperpigmentation
Dull or lackluster complexion
Rough or uneven texture
Enlarged pores
Fine lines and wrinkles
Dehydrated or dry skin
Loss of elasticity and firmness
-
Poor skin quality can result from a combination of intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors include aging and genetics, while extrinsic factors include sun exposure, pollution, smoking, poor skincare habits, and inadequate nutrition. These factors can lead to a breakdown of collagen and elastin fibres, decreased skin cell turnover, and an imbalance in skin hydration levels.
Skin Needling
Each year as we age we lose approximately 2% of our collagen. Skin needling, also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin using a device with fine needles. This technique stimulates the skin's natural healing response and collagen production, leading to a range of aesthetic benefits.
Skin needling is a versatile and effective treatment option for improving skin quality, addressing common concerns, and achieving a more youthful and revitalised complexion. By stimulating collagen production and promoting skin rejuvenation, skin needling offers a non-invasive approach to enhancing skin health and boosting confidence in individuals seeking aesthetic improvements.
Recommended to have minimum 3 treatments spaced one month apart for optimal results.
-
One of the primary benefits of skin needling is its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin. The micro-injuries created during the procedure trigger the body's natural healing process, leading to the formation of new collagen fibres. This helps improve skin elasticity, firmness, and overall texture.
-
Skin needling can effectively reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and creases on the skin. The increase in collagen production helps plump up the skin and smooth out imperfections, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
-
By promoting skin cell turnover and collagen synthesis, skin needling can help improve the overall texture of the skin. It can address concerns such as roughness, uneven skin tone, acne scars, and enlarged pores, leading to a smoother and more even complexion.
-
The tiny channels created in the skin during the needling process improve the absorption and efficacy of skincare products. This allows for better penetration of active ingredients, such as serums and antioxidants, leading to enhanced results and overall skin health.
